Fairlawn

The Fairlawn Theater opened in August 1929, designed by architect Clarence L. Harding. It was located on Good Hope Road, between 13th Street SE and 14th Street SE, in Washington’s Anacostia neighborhood. The theater had a slight delay with the installation of an RCA sound system and for the first few weeks of operation it ran silent movies. It was closed in 1951, and was long ago torn down.

Possibly remodeled into the bank, which uses a 1340 address.
