The Dinos Cinemas Tomakomai opened its doors on April 23, 2005 as a replacement of both the Tomakomai Nichigeki and the Tomakomai Toho Central Eigeki, two twin-screeners that closed eight days apart. It featured seven screens and a total capacity of 1,049 seats including 14 wheelchairs.
Screen 7 has the most with 302 seats and three wheelchairs, and Screen 5 has the least with 95 seats and one wheelchair. The rest of the screens have two wheelchairs and a ranging capacities of 101-144. Screens 1, 6, and 7 were also equipped with Dolby 7.1, while the rest have Dolby 5.1.
The coronavirus pandemic closed the theater in April 2020 for only a single month. It reopened the following month but was followed from the aforementioned civil rehabilitation of Sugai Dinos, its management, being transferred to Dinos Cinema, which is funded by Sasaki Kogyo and the GENDA GiGO Entertainment chain.
