This started life as the Morioka Forum, a triplex originally located on the second floor of Higuchi Building, and opened in 1993. Unfortunately that theater closed in 2006 when it was relocated to the 5th floor of the Moss Shopping Center.
It reopened under the same name on December 9, 2006 featuring seven Dolby DTS/EX Surround screens and a capacity of 954 seats. It was renamed the Forum Morioka in 2009, and on July 31 of that same year, an eighth screen was opened in a separate area under the name “Art Forum”, but that closed in April 2023.
Screens 5 and 6 have the most seats with 182 each, while Screen 4 has the least with 79 seats. The other auditoriums have their capacities range from 99-152.
