Built on the site of the Empire Theatre (it has its own page on Cinema Treasures). The Kent Theatre was opened by Odeon Theatres on August 29, 1952 with Gary Cooper in “High Noon”. It was closed on July 2, 1969 with Robert Woods in “Seven Guns for the MacGregors” & Burt Lancaster in “The Professionals”. It’s now a banquet hall.
