Roswell Mall CInema Center

Talk about a venue that has had its ups and downs! When Interstate Theatres opened the Roswell Mall Cinema on December 21, 1979 it was located on the second level of the shopping centre. Not only was this the only Interstate operation in the metro Atlanta area, it was the first to feature a form of stadium style or raised seating. The largest auditorium of the complex was split down the centre only a few years into operation transforming it from a quad to a five-plex in 1983. Closed on July 30, 1986 when the new 10 plex Aurora Complex opened downstairs. (The Aurora Cineplex has it’s own page on Cinema Treasures).
