MOVIX Kurashiki

The MOVIX Kurashiki is the first multiplex to open in the Okayama Prefecture, which opened at the same time as AEON Mall Kurashiki. Located on the 2nd floor, the theatre first opened its doors on September 21, 1999, it had eight screens and an original capacity of 1,793-seats, but two more screens were added in December 2002 and its capacity was expanded to 2,029-seats and ten screens.

In November 2014, all screens were expanded and all of its seats were replaced with premium seats (with armrests on both sides) which was the cause of the reduction of its seating capacity to 1,702-seats.

Screen 6 was the largest with 386-seats and three wheelchairs featuring THX, SRD, SRD-EX, DTS, and SDDS sound systems. Screen 10 has 261-seats with four wheelchairs and featured SRD, DTS, and SDDS. The rest of the screens have two wheelchairs except Screen 5 with one wheelchair. The smallest auditoriums are Screens 7, 8, and 9 with 88-seats and two wheelchairs each. The rest of the auditoriums have ranging seating capacities of 106-172.
