Big Nickel Theatre

The Big Nickel Theatre (not to be confused with the Nickel Theater) operated from March 11, 1912 to January 14, 1913. From December 25, 1913 to January 24, 1914 it operated as the Kane Theatre. It re-opened as the Bijou Theatre (not to be confused with the other Bijou Theatre) from February 23, 1914 to May 16, 1914. It then closed and reopened as the Big Nickel Theatre once again from August 23, 1914 to July 21, 1916. A small brick building can be seen on that lot on the 1911 atlas. Judging by the size of the currently vacant lot (40'x80') it was not a large theatre.
