Located on the North side of Public Square - North Street. The Noble Theatre was in a sense, a sister theater to the other theater in Caldwell, the Roxy Theatre, because for a period of time both were managed by Chester E. Huprich. The Noble Theatre was constructed in 1937 by the Lashinsky brothers of Cambridge. Klye Conser, the Noble County Commissioner owned the theatre building.

In February 1940, the Lashinsky brothers sold the Noble theatre to Mr. and Mrs. Chester E. Huprich, of Dover. Mr. and Mrs. Huprich officially became owners on March 4, 1940. Mr. Huprich also assumed managership of the Roxy Theatre.

The 1945 Film Daily Yearbook lists the Noble Theatre with a seating capacity of 476. In June of 1946, Mr. and Mrs. Huprich bought the theatre building. The partnership between the Roxy Theatre and the Noble Theatre ended in August 1946, when the Caldwell Amusement Co. was dissolved and Mr. Huprich no longer managed the Roxy Theatre. Later that year in October, Mr. and Mrs. Huprich incorporated the theatre into the Noble Theatre Corp.

In June of 1948, Mr.and Mrs. Huprich sold their residence in Caldwell, when they decided to build a drive-in movie theatre between New Concord and Zanesville, Ohio. They retained ownership of the Noble Theatre, but selected Ralph C. Craft to manage the theatre. Sadly, Mr. Craft died in June of 1949.

Through the 1950’s, Wayne Davis managed the Noble Theatre. By 1955, Mr. and Mrs. Huprich no longer owned or operated the Noble Theatre. The theatre closed in 1959. The current owner, C G. Velas sold the building, in April 1960, to G. T. Jennings who planned to renovate the structure for a retail store. More recently, in July of 1971, Rev. Willis Scott conducted evangelistic services in the old Noble Theatre located around the village square.
