The Movies 6, located in the Rodney Village Shopping Center, opened its doors on July 17, 1981 with 4-screens (the other 2-screens opened soon afterwards). It was later operated by Fox Theatres and Carmike Cinemas until it eventually closed on August 10, 2000.
