Palace Theatre

This early theatre was located in the central storefront of the Syndicate Block, a two story brick commercial building from 1891. The 1906 map shows a clothing store here, but the theatre was operating by October 1913 at the latest.

Still listed in the 1914-15 American Motion Picture Directory, this theatre appears to have closed by 1926. It is possible that the operation was moved one door to the north, and became the Pastime Theatre. This portion of the building reverted to retail.

The building had been given a very bad remodel of the ground floor, but this has been removed, and the building restored to its historic appearance. It appears that this space may now be vacant.
