Vaudette Theatre

The Galveston Tribune advertisements show the Vaudette Theatre, Casino Theatre and Leader Theater all under the management of Hulsey Theatres.

On November 7, 1911, Hulsey Theatres published this notification: “The only authorized motion pictures of the world’s championship baseball series of 1911 were made by Essany film manufacturing of Chicago Ill. and we have the exclusive rights for the first exhibition of them in Galveston.” Other stories confirm Hulsey Theatres had the exclusive rights to all Essany films in Galveston.

American Motion Picture Directory 1914-1915 list all three theaters, complete with addresses. They had all gone from listing by 1925.
