The Idle Hour Theatre was the first movie theatre to open in Phillips, WI. It opened in 1914. It was renamed Gem Theatre in 1932. It was taken over by the Miner Properties Inc. chain in 1937 and renamed Duroy Theatre, but closed later in 1937.
