Cedars Drive-In

The short-lived Cedars Drive-In opened its gates by J.M. Meyer on March 7, 1951 with Maria Montez in “Gypsy Wildcat” along with an unnamed cartoon and a few unnamed shorts. Its original screen tower measures 60x60ft with its main screen measuring 58x43ft. Both the projection and concession stands house on two different floors, with the concession stand with striped yellow and green rubber tile walls on the first floor and the projection on the second floor.

The Cedars Drive-In is very short-lived, and operated for only three seasons until its closure on December 19, 1953 with Charlton Heston in “Pony Express” and one full hour of cartoons, and the screen was demolished by the end of the decade.
