The United Cinemas Niigata located on the second floor of the DEKKY401 commercial facility opened its doors with eight screens on October 8, 1999, and two more screens were added on January 29, 2011, bringing a total to ten screens and 1,805 seats.

Prior to this theater’s opening, it was originally planned to open as the “Paramount Universal Cinemas DeKKY8” under the operations of United Cinemas International Japan, but officially opened under the United Cinemas name.
