The Dohn Theatre is a short-lived movie house in Uniontown, Kentucky. Named after owners Doyle Hayden and John Roberts in a theater-naming contest, the Dohn Theatre opened its doors on September 4, 1935 with George Arliss in “Cardinal Richelieu” (unknown if extras added).

After just a few months in operation, the Dohn Theatre and its neighboring drug store were both destroyed by a large fire on December 22, 1935. The fire both burned the theater and the drug store completely because of sub-zero temperatures that caused the lack of water in the fire department’s hoses.
