The 750-seat Airdome Theatre opened May 19, 1932, by Herb Norris, former manager of Fox Imperial Theatre.

A notice in the Imperial Valley Press read, “The opening tonight will feature Bert Wheeler in “Too Many Cooks”, with the personable Dorothy Lee appearing for the first time as a star”.
