Electric Theatre

The Electric Theatre was a nickelodeon which had opened by 1908 and was located in a narrow brick commercial building, which appears only on the 1909 map. This portion of the block was still small homes on the 1896 map. The building appears to have had a shallow bay on the front. The Electric Theatre was operated by Commerford & Alblens and offered 10-shows a day. It ceased operation by 1910.

It was demolished and a new 4 story building was constructed on this lot. This structure itself was demolished sometime after 1950 when a parking garage replaced several buildings. The Electric Theatre was located at the north side of the lot, where the garage entrance is today.
