Lyric Theatre

The Lyric Theatre opened its doors on March 26, 1917 with George Gray in “The Value Of A Life”. It was closed on August 13, 1958 with Walt Disney’s “Old Yeller” starring Dorothy McGuire (unknown if extras added).

It was converted into a Self-Source Shoe Store for only a few years before being converted into a furniture store owned by the Harrison Maytag & Furniture Company in 1962. Since at least 2013 it has been in use as a drug and beauty store.
