The Gayety Theatre opened as early as 1912 and closed on May 15, 1930 with Jack Oakie in “Sweetie” along with the Out Of The Inkwell cartoon “Ko-Ko Cleans Up” and Paramount News when the nearby Comstock Theatre opened the following week.
