The Valley West Theatre opened its doors by Mann Theatres on September 16, 1970 with Barbra Streisand in “On A Clear Day You Can See Forever”. General Cinema briefly operated the theater during the mid-1970’s, until it last operated independently.
It was later twinned and closed on November 15, 1981 with “Stripes” in Screen 1 and “Where’s Poppa” in Screen 2.
