The Movies at Shawnee Square opened its doors by Buckeye Theatres on June 3, 1988 featuring a Bose stereo system. Regal took over the theater on May 20, 1994 and was renamed Shawnee Square 4. It was closed on October 12, 2000. It reopened on March 28, 2003 as the Classic Theatres Shawnee.
