Translated from Le Matin newspapers, digitized at the University of Florida:

Nov. 15, 1924: “A popular cinema opened on the Grand Rue, almost opposite the Ch. Gautier house, under the management of the young Crepsac: it was called the Cinema des Galants.”

March 30 1925: “A magnificent theater, costing approximately $60,000, will soon be built. It will be located on Grand Rue, where the Cinéma des Galants was recently situated. The owner of the new theater will be Mr. Leonetti, who a few weeks ago was showing films of all kinds at the Cine Variétés. The plans will soon be submitted for approval.”

Nov. 9, 1926: “Three years ago, Pantal, always moving forward, became the owner of the Cinéma des Galantes. He was the first to put the tickets at fifty centimes affordable for everyone.”
