Electric Theatre

This theater appears on the 1915 Sanborn. It was located in one story stone storefront constructed sometime between 1901 and 1908, when it was a general store.

No later maps are available online, but this may well have become the 250 seat De Lux Theatree listed in the 1926 Yearbook. In any case, it was closed long ago.

Downtown is in tragic condition, and is mostly vacant lots or metal sheds. This building survives behind a metal facade for a long abandoned furniture store which incorporated two other storefronts to the north. The rear is still visible, with the tin-clad wooden extension which presumably held the screen looking quite ramshackle.
