This theater appears on the 1912 Sanborn. It was located in an old two story stone storefront with a tin facade. The building was constructed sometime between 1892 and 1899, and in 1905 the tenant was a furniture store.
The theater is listed in the 1914-15 AMPD. It is possible that this was later renamed the Denzell Theatre, in which case it was closed August 7, 1920, when the American Theatre was opened on the future site of the present Gregg Theatre.
The building was later incorporated into the neighboring bank, which ruined both structures (along with the building to the west) with a horrible boxy slipcover sometime around 1960-70. This was removed after 2021, and the present facade is a decent dryvit attempt to recreate the historic appearance.
