This theater appears on the 1920 Sanborn, in the rear of a two story brick commercial building, the front of which was occupied by a confectionery. The building was constructed sometime before 1907, likely about 20 years earlier based on the appearance.
It had been a bank, but is vacant on the 1912 map. Given the small size, this is almost certainly the Cameo Theater listed in the 1926 Yearbook. This disappears from listings after 1929, and in 1931 a Capitol Theater of 200 seats begins to be listed. This may or may not have been the same theater. With later maps unavailable, it’s hard to say.
The building is in good shape today, and is the offices of a cancer support organization.
