There is a very interesting piece on the Gem in The Oregon Theatre Project. A few facts readily transferred here: 28 1st Street; opened April 15, 1909; initially only for movies but after a stage built added live entertainment; a center for community activities; outgrew it’s space resulting in the Coliseum being built.
Some great images of ads also, but none, however, of the theatre.
