The Cinema 4 was opened by Cinemark on February 26th, 1982 on the north parking lot of the Mesilla Valley Mall and taken over in October 1982 by Allen theatres. It became the Cinema 8 - 1 2 3 4 when new cinemas in the mall opened on October 18th, 1989 and closed on June 4th, 1998 and demolished for a restaurant
