Princess Pat Drive-In

The Princess Pat Drive-In opened its gates by Fred and Gordon White on August 6, 1962 with John Wayne in “The Alamo” (unknown if extras added), featuring a 36x84ft CinemaScope screen and 250 cars. The Princess Pat Drive-In closed after the 2008 season.

Despite the screen and the entire theatre surviving Hurricane Juan on September 29, 2003, the reason for closure was because of heavy wind gusts knocking down the screen on December 29, 2008, and the management didn’t have enough money to repair the screen.
