Initially operated by General Cinema, the Wyoming Valley Mall Cinema was opened June 21, 1972. It was taken over by Great Escape Theatres in November 2004 and was renamed Wilkes-Barre 4. It closed in 2008.
By 2012, it had been converted into a live theatre venue for children, known as the Kiss Theatre.
