Opened as the Highway 53 Drive-In on April 28, 1949 with Robert Young in “Relentless”. This single-screener could accommodate 450 cars. On April 22, 1950 it was renamed Stardusk Drive-In. It was operated by the Grengs family, which today runs the Grengs Theatres chain in the Eau Claire area (which includes the London Square Cinema Six, the Cameo Budget, and the Gemini Drive-In). The Stardusk Drive-In closed in 1983 and has since been torn down.
