Oct 10, 2008 — Grand Forks Columbia 4 closes

Located in the Columbia Mall just a block from the Carmike 10. The Columbia Mall 4 was opened by Plitt Theatres on October 21, 1983. It was taken over by Cineplex Odeon (keeping the Plitt branding) in 1985 and sold to Midcontinent Theatres in 1986. Taken over by Carmike in 1995. Only open in the evenings during the week but showing first run features. Small lobby with tiny auditoriums.

The Columbia Mall 4 was closed by Carmike Cinemas on October 7, 2008. It was demolished in July 2011.

As of March 25 2008, this theater is now a discount/second run theater.
