Pacific’s Thousand Oaks Drive-In opening 02 Aug 1967, Wed Thousand Oaks Star (Thousand Oaks, California) Newspapers.com
The Thousand Oaks Drive-In opened on August 2nd, 1967 with “The War Wagon” and “Young Warriors” and a stage show with movie stars in attendance, a battle of the bands, etc. Grand opening ad posted.
The entrance for this one was on E Kelly across from the high school. The trees that bordered the back of the drive-in are still there behind Kohl’s.
Here is a photo showing the last movies shown and the date of closing of the TO drive-in

Yes, it closed in 1983. Last film it showed was a a re-release of the original “Jaws.”
I saw many movies there as a kid, and have been looking for photographs of that great old place for years.
The drive-in closed in 1983! Pacific was to build a 8 screen movie theatre complex however the city had lots of restrictions! Pacific still owns the land and buildings. They are making a fortune without showing a movie! They did the same thing with the VEntura 101 Drive-In
