Located in a small shopping plaza on Highway 47 the Plaza Cinema 4 was opened on November 17, 1995. This small four screen was a busy little cinema, seating almost 1,000. It had matiness daily with late shows on the week-ends. Well decorated lobby and auditoriums with stereo sound in each.
It was closed in 2011, and was reopened in a new location in November 2011 as the Troy Movie House (it has its own page on Cinema Treasures).

It might be of interest that the website today makes no mention of the Plaza 4 in Troy…only theatres in Vandalia and Mexico, Missouri…and that home video is available in Montgomery, Mo.
The Troy operation was first listed in the Movie Times section of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch in 1996.
The theater is currently closed as it is moving to a new location at 1436 Main Street in Troy. The name is now Troy Movie House and it is scheduled to reopen in November. Information can be found on the website: http://troymoviehouse.com/
