Closed Notice on Entrance Door

The Carmike 12 was the last of the new theatres built in the Salt Lake City area before the stadium seating craze started. It opened December 15, 1995. A later remodel though brought in stadium seating to help compete with the new Megaplex 17 at Jordan Commons and the new Carmike 24 at Jordans Landing.

Originally six of the auditoriums were certified for THX but after the remodel it was reduced to two. The same floor plan that was used for the Carmike 12 was used in the Carmike Wynnsong in Provo. The Carmike 12 was closed mid-May 2015 and was taken over by AMC.

Carmike closed the theater around May 15-20, 2015, and AMC will be opening it as the AMC West Jordan 12:

Carmike is no longer operated West Jordan 12 . The movie theater is owned by AMC
