The Empire Theatre opened on October 21, 1948 with George Brent in “Luxury Liner”. It was closed on April 28, 1977 with Bruce Li in “Exit the Dragon, Enter the Tiger”. The building was last used as a nightclub called the Empire Club. It was demolished in August 2024.
