Yes, Charlie Washburn was the business agent when I worked for Local 640. The local mailed me a note a few months ago telling me that Charlie had passed away.
Yes, I did work at many Century theatres as Manager from 1952 till 1969. After that I worked as a projectionist with Local 640, and retired in 1979.
Now I am retired, and living in Florida.
I was the Manager of this theatre back in the Sixties, when Century theatres ran it. It was really a beautiful theatre. So sad that all the good ones are gone.

oops sorry theater was a typo….. my mom danced in the “THEATRE” that would be the QUEENS THEATRE when they had vaudeville before any of us were born….actually my mom and dad met in front of the Queens Theatre…..
