A Compton three manual organ was installed upon an Express lift within the orchestra pit, the console having illuminated end sections designed by Charles Theobalds, head of design for F. H. Pride Ltd., of Clapham who also manufactured the glass design. For the opening night the Compton was played by well know Broadcasting organist H. Robinson Cleaver.
