This bird’s eye view clearly shows the outlier UA Twin (center, bottom) and its relationship to the rest of the center. Interstate 605 (left of the theatre) intersects with South Street (below).

Although UA Mall and Twin were but a short walk from one another, each had their own separate address and the two complexes were typically kept under separate managements. A hotline connected their two offices but communication was not always the best. Coupled with high manager and staff turnover, this allowed for the notorious practice of problem employees who, leaving on bad terms from one theatre, simply walked over and got a new job at the other. In one particularly absurd case, a snack bar attendant quit the Mall without notice, was hired immediately over at the Twin, soon quit the Twin without notice, and unbelievably was rehired months later back at the Mall!
