This highly stylized mirrored fountain was installed to the rear of the first landing leading to the twin staircases to the circle. This indeed made a special feature for the entrance foyer with high fired green glazed tiled sunken pool, which at the opening contained forty gold fish. The central dolphin sprayed water from the water beneath from a depth of 2ft. As seen in the above photograph the entire surrounding area and ceiling were lined with mirror and tubular glass panels that were illuminated from behind giving various reflections. An enclosed front sectional trough displayed a variety of flowers growing from within. The whole area was supplied and installed by James Clark & Sons Ltd
