This archival photograph of the Regent is from the reference collection of the Cinema and Theatre Historical Society of Australia. Note the round cornered standard ratio (4:3) screen which was almost universal until moveable masking for wide screen was introduced, and the ample stage width (and depth) which allowed for CinemaScope exhibition.
