Desperation Policy change at the Roxy

In late January, 1933, the bankrupted Roxy adopted “bargain” prices, with all seats at 25 cents during the day and 35 cents at night, and on all seven days of the week, to fight competition from the two recently opened showcases in nearby Rockefeller Center.
