There is something very special about The Brazos. I was lucky enough to introduce my kids to the Drive-In experience here a few years ago. For some reason, it’s always a few degrees cooler there on a hot summer night and I’ve never been bugged by a bug there. We always had a great time. The only advice I’d give the Miller’s (based on my last visit 4 years ago) is to clean up the FM transmission as there was always a nasty ground hum and run some clocks, old or new, anything.

I did read that the Millers briefly put The Brazos up for sale in 2010. An old listing shows that were asking in the neighborhood of $650K and the related article mentioned they had not received any acceptable offers. As much as I was in love with the place when I lived in the area, $650K is just way too much. High 3’s might be attainable but due to a whittled away lot, she can’t be twinned…but what do I know? They still own it but I hope that offering wasn’t an indication of a land grabber working in the background.

The Galaxy was okay (4 years ago) but seemed impersonal and was going through some growing pains at the time. If you’ve enjoyed The Galaxy, make sure you check out The Brazos for a much more intimate evening at a much smaller theater.

I Think The Reason Why It Is Named Brazos Its Because That The Granbury Area Is Just Either Near Or In The Brazos Valley of Texas.
