The Capitol Theatre was opened in 1934 with Dick Powell in “Twenty Million Sweethearts”. The plan of this theatre is shaped like a man’s head. It has two balcony levels. The facade of this theatre is accented with graceful Philippine Art Deco style reliefs.
The Capitol Theatre had closed by 2008 and by 2018 the auditorium had been demolished, leaving only the facade standing.

This theatre was designed by Juan Nakpil
The building of Capitol Theater today is not yet demolished. The building is still standing though the theater is no longer operational.
March 2018 street view shows the facade only with daylight behind it.
