I only know about the details of the Wurlitzer theatre organ that was originally installed in the Almira Theatre on 29th August 1927.

It was transfered from here and installed into the Rex Cinema, Stratford, London, England, UK on 15th September 1934.

Any further details on the Almira Theatre would be appreciated.

The Almira was located a block off Loraine Ave, the main street of Cleveland's west side. Many theaters were located on Lorain. I was never in the building, however as a child in the 50's I remember seeing it as I would ride by on the bus to downtown. It closed in the early 1950's, maybe 53 or 54. It was converted into a church. When I returned to Cleveland in 2003, I drove past the building and found that the front end had been completely rebuilt and there is no longer on outward evidents of the theatre. It is still being used as a church.

A Wurlitzer organ Opus 1719 Style E X was installed in the Almira Theater on 8/29/1927. Status is listed as Repossessed by the manufacturer.

The information that I was able to find was that the theatre opened in 1927 and closed in 1950.
