This theatre took the name of an earlier Vaudette Theatre nearby that opened in 1912. It was closed in 1975 and became a St. Vincent de Paul resale store soon afterwards, a situation that continues today. However many details of its 1938 appearance still remain.

The Vaudette Theatre opened on Thursday, January 27, 1938 with the feature film "Back in Circulation".

The building looks about the same as in the older photos. The vertical blade is gone.
