The Kenwood Drive-In is a single screen which originally opened July 31, 1949 with John Payne in “El Paso”. The theatre closed in January 2009.
In early-2011, the theatre is pending sale between National Amusements and the EDF Services, Inc. If the offer is accepted, then the EDF Services, Inc. Management Team had plans to do some extensive remodeling, and then within 3-5 years, the EDF Services, Inc. Management Team will expand the theatres' land bigger, so they can add 3 additional screens. It was demolished around 2015. The site is now occupied by Spears Manufacturing & 7Up.

You can bet a stinking Wal-Mart is there now.
Here are my pictures from November 2010. The property is in pretty good shape, except for some potholes in the driveway and the brush reclaiming the outer fringes of the lot.
We have submitted an offer to National Amusements so we can buy the property and reopen the theatre, As of right now our offer is still pending but if it is accepted we will get our Remodeling crew out to the property and remodel the theatre so we can get the theatre open for the 2011 season, See you at the Movies! :)
There is a news report about the status of this drive-in at http://www.wlky.com/r-slideshow/28908282/detail.html?taf=lou
Unfortunately it looks like the drive-in is still for sale for 1.5 million as of 3/14/2012:

Hopefully someone can save it, but at that price things aren’t looking too good…
Pulling the screen tower down to be reused at another drive-in
