The Colonial Theater is listed in the Film Daily Yearbook, 1950 edition (but not in 1941 or 1943 editions) so could have opened in the mid-to-late 1940's. In later years it was known as the State Theater.

I have no other information on this theater.

In 1945 only the Scenic Theater is listed for Rochester, NH. In 1951 both the Scenic and Colonial theaters are listed.
