The Pastime Theater has been undergoing off and on renovations now for several years. It is a former vaudeville house dating to 1912.

The Pastime was operated by Armstrong Theaters in the 60's and 70's. After they opened the Plaza Cinema, Armstrong operated the Pastime as a dollar house in '74 and '75. It never had air conditioning; big fans in pipe chambers cooled it in summer. Managed for many years by Jim Hale.

A balcony has been added, so seating capacity will increase if the theater reopens. The stage area has been enlarged. The Pastime had an organ, but do not know status.

It's possible that the Pastime originally had a Wurlitzer photoplayer to accompany the silent films. This particular photoplayer still survives in a large mechanical musical instrument collection in the Midwest.

The organ was a 1915 style K Wurlitzer photoplayer. This site has some information.
