The Fort Saginaw Mall Cinema did not last long - it opened on February 25, 1970 and closed about 1975 or 1976. It was in a bad area and attracted a rough crowd. Plagued with crime and murder of the manager, GCC walked away from it.

The murder of the manager had nothing to do with the theatre, like a robbery or something like that – he was involved with the drug trade and apparently screwed someone over in some sort of transaction – they came to the theatre to settle the score, which resulted in Willie assuming room temperature.
As mentioned above, the former cinema was later a retail outlet; I believe it was last used as a Fashion Bug store. I’ve been told that the mall closed in 1998.
The entire mall was torn down in 2010 and is now a vacant lot. See more info here: View link
Opened on February 25th, 1970, with 747 seats. Grand opening ad posted.
