This theater opened in 1947 and remained open until the mid-1980s. It attracted patrons from Murray Hill, Riverside, Avondale, and other Westside neighborhoods of Jacksonville. The old theater building sits west of the intersection of Edgewood Avenue and Roosevelt Boulevard. Long gone is the once-familiar marquee. It now houses Jones College.

I remember when the theatre closed its doors in the mid 80s when I worked at the midway drive in which at the same time closed.We had to pull all the equipment out of there due to when eastern federal corp was closing a LOT of theatres at that time.Due to rumor,EFC was on lease.
